I&#8217;m looking at you, Charbroil $300 special! \u00a0The Charbroil was junked in about two years with good care.<\/p>\n<p>When you do certain grill tasks and especially use a rotisserie, you want quality silicone gloves to be able to grab the hot rotisserie and the hot meat. \u00a0We purchased the AYL Silicone heat resistant BBQ gloves on Amazon, about $19.99. \u00a0Links below.<\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A large whole chicken, you decide the size.<\/li>\n<li>Smoked paprika<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">**<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Coarse salt<\/li>\n<li>Freshly ground pepper<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">**<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Oregano<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">**Known IC irritants, tread carefully!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">To make this IC safe, omit the paprika and pepper.\u00a0 The oregano should give enough flavor.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>TOOLS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000WEMHGO\/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1\">A rotisserie attachment for your grill<\/a>, our model plugs into an outlet for automatic turning<\/li>\n<li>A grill, (do I really have to say that?)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Regency-Natural-Cooking-Twine-Cotton\/dp\/B002NU6HOI\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1438225177&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=kitchen+twine\">Kitchen twine<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00PBWAK8Y\/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1\">Silicone grill gloves for safety\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Charcoal-Companion-Stainless-V-Shape-Smoker\/dp\/B002WJIQGW\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1438224977&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=stainless+smoker+box+gas\">Stainless smoker box (for gas grills)<\/a> with wood chips, of your flavor<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Norpro-Stainless-Steel-Jelly-Baking\/dp\/B000F741DU\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1438225466&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=stainless+jelly+roll+pan\">A large tray or jelly roll pan for your raw chicken<\/a>, in order to season and transport it<\/li>\n<li>A large tray or cutting board for your cooked chicken (Not the same tray, unless it has been cleaned)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Remove the packaging from your whole chicken. \u00a0Remove giblets or any bonus parts you won&#8217;t need. \u00a0Don&#8217;t rinse your chicken; it just spreads bacteria all over your sink and counter.<\/li>\n<li>Pat your chicken dry with paper towels.<\/li>\n<li>Cut off chicken wings. \u00a0(If you leave the thin wings on, they will get burnt to a crisp, so do not). \u00a0You can grill them separately or save them for another use. \u00a0They crisp up very nicely on the top rack of your grill!<\/li>\n<li>Using kitchen twine, tie the drumsticks to the chicken or the rotisserie tightly, otherwise they will flop around while grilling.<\/li>\n<li>I sprayed my chicken with Original PAM spray because I was especially lazy, but you massage some softened, unsalted butter over the skin.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle and rub your spices on the whole chicken (and the wings, if using): smoked paprika gave it an awesome smokey taste, oregano, freshly ground pepper, coarse salt &#8211; or whatever spices you like.<\/li>\n<li>Unscrew your rotisserie and thread your whole chicken on it, making sure to insert it into the metal stabilizers.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare your grill per rotisserie directions. \u00a0We remove our grill grates and do indirect grilling. \u00a0We leave the left and right burners on our 3-burner grill, and turn off the middle burner. \u00a0This allows the meat to slowly cook.<\/li>\n<li>After about an hour, temperature your meat, away from the bone. \u00a0Cook until 165 degrees F, the safety temp.<\/li>\n<li>Once it has reached the safe temp., turn off your grill and leave lid open so the meat can cool and rest &#8211; a very important step.<\/li>\n<li>Wearing your silicone gloves, remove rotisserie with meat to a clean tray.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 &nbsp; So I&#8217;ll preface this with we are not grill masters, but we find our way and make some yummy BBQ. \u00a0Nothing special or crazy exotic, just yummy BBQ. \u00a0So here&#8217;s our recent rotisserie chicken. \u00a0I bought a antibiotic-free chicken and went for it.
