\u00a0We don&#8217;t like spicy brown mustard (or many mustards) so we just quartered the mustard ingredient and the flavor still came through and worked well. \u00a0Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 lbs. chicken wings<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. black pepper**<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup honey<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup BBQ sauce**<\/li>\n<li>2 T. spicy brown mustard (we reduced it to 1\/2 T.)**<\/li>\n<li>1 clove garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li>3-4 thin lemon slices (optional)**<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">**Known IC irritants, tread carefully!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>DIRECTIONS:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat broiler. \u00a0Cut off wing tips, discard. \u00a0Cut each wing at joint to make 2 pieces.<\/li>\n<li>Season with salt and pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Place on broiler pan. \u00a0Broil 4-5 inches from heat about 5 minutes per side.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">SLOW COOKER OPTION 1)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transfer wings to slow cooker.<\/li>\n<li>Combine honey, BBQ sauce, mustard, and garlic in small bowl. \u00a0Mix well. \u00a0Pour sauce over chicken wings. \u00a0Top with lemon slices, optional. \u00a0Cover, cook on LOW 4-5 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Before serving, remove and discard lemon slices.<\/li>\n<li>Serve wings with sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>OR QUICK OPTION 2)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transfer wings to\u00a0large baking dish that has sides.<\/li>\n<li>Combine honey, BBQ sauce, mustard, and garlic in small bowl. \u00a0Mix well. \u00a0Pour sauce over chicken wings. \u00a0Top with lemon slices, optional. \u00a0Cover, cook at about 375 degrees for about an hour, or until thermometer reads safe.<\/li>\n<li>Before serving, remove and discard lemon slices.<\/li>\n<li>Serve wings with sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; This is a slow cooker recipe, but I adapted it (see option 2) to make it in the oven when I ran out of time one evening. \u00a0It really was great!
